ISU Blue Gives Back is a crowdfunding platform for fundraising. Crowdfunding is an online 30-day campaign that offers donors a new way to provide support to projects ideas such as: innovative projects, service trips, events, research and other ISU specific ventures. Blue Gives Back is open to registered ISU students organizations, academic programs or other departments on campus.  If this sounds like you and you're interested in lunching a crowdfunding campaign, you're in the right place!

Projects related to raising funds for salaries and/or stipends are not permitted on Blue Gives Back.

Please complete the required application. Plan on Submitting your application at least 30 to 45 days before your desired fundraising start date. Launch dates outside of this suggested timeline may be authorized at the discretion of the Division of University Advancement/ISU Foundation. 

Here are the following dates for the application cycles for the 2022-2023 academic year:

Round 1: 8/1/20223 - 10/1/2023, application due 8/15/2023, award notice 8/18/2023, fundraiser live 9/1/2023, fundraiser closes 10/1/2023

Round 2: 9/1/2023 - 11/1/2023, application due 9/15/2023, award notice 9/19/2023, fundraiser live 10/1/2023, fundraiser closes 11/1/2023

Round 3: 10/1/2023 - 12/1/2023, application due 10/13/2023, award notice 10/17/2023, fundraiser live 11/1/2023, fundraiser closes 12/1/2023

Round 4: 11/1/2023 - 1/3/2024, application due 11/15/2023, award notice 11/17/2023, fundraiser live 12/1/2023, fundraiser closes 1/3/2024

Round 5: 12/1/2023 - 2/1/2024, application due 12/13/2023, award notice 12/15/2023, fundraiser live 1/3/2024, fundraiser closes 2/1/2024

Round 6:  4/1/2024 - 6/1/2024, application due 4/15/2024, award notice 4/19/2024, fundraiser live 5/1/2024, fundraiser closes 6/1/2024

Thoroughly explain the project purpose and how it will positively impact the ISU community.

Make a realistic goal with a minimum of $2,500 and include number of potential donors.

When do you need the money available? When will you be actively fundraising?

Projects are required to reference their budget and projected costs within their case-for-support.

Funds must go towards the project you are applying for. Explain how those dollars will be utilized.

There must be leadership approval. Provide their contact information.

The majority of your donations will come from your personal networks.

These items will be important when building your campaign site and in social media promotion.
