Our Goal

This is a month long fundraising and engagement opportunity for members, family, friends and anyone wanting to support Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Alpha Zeta Chapter Endowment. We would like to raise at least $25,000 to continue our goals to support future Sycamores. 

Our History

The Alpha Zeta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, was founded by Elder Watson Diggs “The Dreamer” on December 22, 1928. The Alpha Zeta chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity began at (Normal School or Indiana State Teachers College) ISU at that time with eight founding members. The Kappa Alpha Psi Alpha Zeta Endowed Scholarship created in February of 2014 creates a legacy of Achievement, which is the founding principle of the Fraternity of Kappa Alpha Psi. The Fraternity's dedication and commitment in achieving against all odds creates a testament for youth wanting to gain access to a quality education at Indiana State University.

Our Legacy

"I am very grateful to be receiving the Kappa Alpha Psi Endowed Scholarship.  This is my first time ever receiving a scholarship, so this means the world to me that I have finally gotten selected.  This has encouraged me to push forth my efforts ten times from before because now I know that others can see the hard work I have been trying to put forth.  My goal is to graduate with a Bachelor of Science and then go into the nursing program to help people and take care of my family. This has always been my passion and dream since I was a little kid, and I am still holding on to my dream.  I am very humbled and honored to be receiving this award and I thank you from the very bottom of my heart."
